MUSIC VIDEO: “Say You Love Me Like You Mean It”, Sky-Pony

November 14th, 2013 by admin

I’m very pleased to share Sky-Pony’s “Say You Love Me Like You Mean It,” a piece I produced and conceived with director Darin Quan and brought to completion with the help of Sky-Pony super-duo Lauren Worsham and Kyle Jarrow.  It was a six month process from first meet to final release, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.  My version of a press release:

At the bottom of this post, you’ll find a link to a new video from Brooklyn-based band Sky-Pony.  In the middle of this post, you will learn the title of the video and the style of music.  This sentence is meant to inform you that there is a horse mask in this video 50 times cooler than the internet meme mask currently going around.  The tenth sentence will repeat this fact.

Lead singer Lauren Worsham will make her Broadway debut November 17th as co-lead Pheobe D’Yquith in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”.  The name of the song is “Say You Love Me Like You Mean It” and it’s an exuberant explosion of theatrical Indie Pop.  The eighth sentence will give you a sense of some of the amazing things you’ll see in the video.

Faith healings, drug hallucinations, faceted bead baptisms, ritualistic suicide and beautiful women in corsets are just some of the amazing things you’ll see in this video.  Sky-Pony mastermind Kyle Jarrow is an OBIE award winning playwright best known for “A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant” and “Hostage Song.”  Horse Masks.  I hope you enjoy.

Regards,
Mike Varley
